The Sun StorEdge 2 Gb PCI Single Fiber Channel Network Adapter is the first 2 Gbps host bus adapter announced by Sun to support both the StorEdge SAN 4.0 release and Direct Attach Storage solutions. The onboard 2x5 transceiver is capable of 4 Gbps transmissions when in full duplex and provides a very fast and cost effective connection to a SAN. The port is also auto sensing (capable of either 1 or 2 Gbps transmission speeds) for investment protection when utilized with 1 Gb fiber channel products.
