It enables exceptional expandability from one to 16 frame units and from one to 46 Magstar 3590 (with ESCON) or 16 3490E tape transports and from 160 to 6, 210 cartridges (up to 186 TB with compaction).(1) The accessor can perform up to 305 cartridge exchanges per hour(2). The high-capacity input/output facility options enable easy removal of large quantities of cartridges.
