The Cisco POES5 5-Volt Power over Ethernet Splitter lets you put your Cisco Small Business IP Phones almost anywhere, by removing the requirement for a nearby power outlet. The POES5 sends power and voice over IP (VoIP) over one Category 5 cable to your Cisco phone. When it's time to add or relocate a phone, the POES5 can simplify your installation.The Cisco POES5 provides an 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) port for connection to a PoE switch. The compact POES5 connects to the standard DC power input and RJ-45 Ethernet port on the Cisco IP phone (or other supported Cisco Small Business VoIP product) via two "split" cables.
