The Cisco Media Convergence Server 7820 (MCS-7820) is a low-cost server platform for the Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data) network. The Cisco MCS-7820 is a member of the MCS-7800 series server family, which also includes the high-availability MCS-7830 and the Cisco AVVID IP telephony starter kits. The Cisco MCS-7820 is intended to be a pilot-test platform as a standalone server, or a production-level server when two MCS-7820s are deployed in a primary/backup role.
