This Fast Ethernet line card also provides Internet service providers (ISPs) with a cost-effective solution for intra-POP connectivity between multigigabit backbone routers and other switches and routers such as the Cisco 7500 and 7200, the Catalyst 5000 and 6000, and more. The line card provides two interface types: an eight-port 100BASEFX multimode fiber interface and an eight-port 100BASETX copper interface.
