The Quad OC-48c/STM-16c POS line card and the Quad OC-48c/STM-16c Service Enhanced line card provide Cisco 12416, Cisco 12410, Cisco 12406, and Cisco 12404 Internet Routers with a single 10-Gbps POS interface on a single card.This line card interfaces with the router's high-speed switch fabric and provides four OC-48c/STM-16c duplex subscriber connector (SC) or fiber connector (FC) single-mode connections in the standard Quad OC-48c/STM-16c POS line card. Only SC-type connectors are used with the Quad OC-48c/STM-16c Service Enhanced line card. These connections are concatenated, which provides for increased efficiency by eliminating the need to partition the bandwidth.
