The four-port OC-12/STM-4 card for the industry-leading Cisco ONS 15454 optical transport platform expands flexibility in network architectures and advances footprint efficiencies for enterprise users and service providers. The card features four OC-12/STM-4 interfaces (each interface can be independently provisioned to accept SONET or SDH signals) with each delivering 622.08Mbps of carrier-class service to bandwidth intensive service PoPs (Points of Presence) that require a scalable, multiservice scalable solution. The high density OC-12/STM-4 card users to further reduce operational costs by reducing required footprint (a 4x increase in service density in a single 15454 multiservice slot), decreasing power consumption, and lowering overall networking costs.
