The PA-2H dual-port HSSI port adapter provides two high-speed serial interfaces. The interfaces on the PA-2H are considered to be data terminal equipment (DTE) devices. The HSSI network interfaces reside on modular port adapters, which provide a direct connection between the high-speed bus in the router or switch and the external networks.
