The ATM LANE dual PHY module (UTP) (WS-X5156) provides one direct connection and one standby connection between the ATM network and the switch using two RJ-45 connectors. The module supports these features: reassembly of up to 255 buffers simultaneously; each buffer represents a packet; support for up to 4096 virtual circuits; support for ATM adaption layer (AAL) 5; ATM LANE 1.0, including LAN Emulation Client (LEC), LAN Emulation Server (LES), broadcast and unknown server (BUS), and LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS).
