The IP POP Systems (IPS) Business Unit is pleased to announce the availability of an enhanced single port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) line card for the Cisco 12000 Series platform. The GE-GBIC-SC-B provides Error Checking and Correction (ECC) support for on board memory. With ECC memory, the line card is less susceptible to failures caused by memory errors and thus, increases system and network availability. This new line card is part of the "Increasing Network Availability (INA)" program to improve network availability.
