PERC 5/i Serial Attached SCSI PCI Express Internal RAID Adapter is a PCI Express based SAS RAID controller that provides enterprise class protection and performance for Dell PowerEdge server. It provides support for RAID levels 1, 5, 10, and 50. RAID level 0 is also available for non-critical data. It includes a powerful Intel IOP333 processor with XScale Microarchitecture along with a 256 MB DDR2 memory for read and write cache. The PERC 5/i has internal SAS connectors in which 4 SAS ports are aggregated to yield a wide port with a bandwidth capacity of 12 Gbps.
