PERC 5/i integrated internal RAID adapter is a PCI Express based SAS RAID controller that provides enterprise class protection and performance. It provides support for RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50. It includes a powerful Intel IOP333 processor along with a 256 MB DDR2 memory for read and write cache. The PERC 5/i has internal SAS connectors in which 4 SAS ports are aggregated to yield a wide port.
